There’s something you have to remember about birthdays, and that is that you were always actually the age you were turning.

What I mean by that is you have been around for 18 years as you read this.

So you may be turning the number 18, but the 18 years that have led to that number are what have shaped you into the fabulous, confident, funny, mature person you are.

I hope that you travel and work and love.

And I hope you find more ways to grow and learn and change.

But I hope you always find your way home to me. I’ll always be here for you, even though you are now an adult.

I’m your biggest fan. And I always will be.
