Eleven // A New Chapter

Your eleventh year was the calm before the storm!

It marked the year you left junior education and entered secondary school. A big step for you, and one that was never going to be easy to navigate. But you did the very best you could. Leaving Bernards Heath School was a very emotional time for you and all your friends, knowing that you would be scattered around different secondary schools the following year. But luckily you had a load of really local friends going with you - who would later become JEKT.

The summer that followed was a great one in France - as usual. You mono-skied, drove the boat, climbed trees and relaxed. When we came back, we made the biggest change in all our lives. On the way back from Brighton one weekend, we made a little diversion. Sat in the car, we talked about what we would name a dog if we ever got one. We settled on two options - Kitkat and Fidget, which was the name you came up with.

Our little diversion ended up at a random house in Essex. Mummy left the car to chat with one of her "clients" while we carried on debating Kitkat or Fidget. We had finally agreed on Fidget when mummy popped her head out of the front door and beckoned us in. And there she was - the cutest little spaniel puppy we had ever seen. Neither you nor Casper could contain yourselves.

Mummy put her on the floor and she ran straight to you. Fidget became the fifth member of our family.
