Your fourth year held a couple of very big events.  2012 was huge.

 

One warm day in Manzagol, Mummy and I set a treasure hunt for you, Emily, Hetty and Tom. We set the treasure hunt in Chris and Ruth’s secret Garden, which was a truly magical place.

 

As you went from one clue to the next, you had no idea what the final prize was. However, as would be the way for your next 15 years, you loved to solve puzzles and were typically the first to find, solve and run off to the next clue.

 

Finally, you reached the last clue and the prize was revealed. You guys were all going to Disneyland Paris.

 

When we arrived in Disneyland Paris, you were beside yourself with excitement. Dressed in your finest Snow White outfit, you ran from ride to ride and from character to character. Finally, you met “the one”. There in front of you was the real Snow White.

 

And you would not stop talking to her. To the point where she had to look at me for help. Which I did not give her.

 

The other thing that took place that summer was the London 2012 Olympics. It was one of the greatest events ever to have taken place in the UK and we were incredibly lucky to be able to go there as a family.
